Retail Network Performance Dashboard for Daily Sales and Stock Steering

Problem and Context

A sales organization working with around 350 retail outlets needed a consistent way to monitor dealer performance, stock levels, and target achievement across its retail network. Management wanted a daily steering view that would support transparent benchmarking across outlets, brands, and channels, while retailers needed direct visibility into their own operational performance. The challenge mattered because reporting had previously been fragmented, partly Excel-based, and not designed for fast network-wide comparison. In addition, the solution had to remain fast and usable despite high data volumes and different business logics across retail formats and sales channels.

Approach and Solution

The project developed a central dashboard for daily operational steering across the retail network, designed for both internal management and dealer-facing use. In close collaboration with business stakeholders, the reporting was structured around three practical views: KPI tracking from model level down to vehicle detail, benchmarking across channels and retailers, and stock analysis by product and aging interval. The underlying reporting setup was designed for fast drill-downs and stable performance at scale, while dashboard logic reflected differences between business types and channel structures. Secure access ensured that each retailer could see only its own operational data, while management retained a full network view.

Results and Impact

The solution became a daily steering tool for both retailers and internal management and created much stronger transparency across sales and stock performance at outlet level. It replaced fragmented reporting with one centralized environment for benchmarking, target tracking, and operational stock review, while remaining usable at scale across a large retail network. Strong recurring usage and daily KPI refreshes made the dashboard a reliable basis for dealer performance management and sales operations.
